Delete your SplitFlow account

Last updated: February 2026

You can delete your SplitFlow account and all associated personal data at any time. Below we describe the exact procedure and the scope of data that will be deleted or retained.

Method 1 — Delete from within the app (recommended)

  1. Open the SplitFlow app on your device (iOS or Android).
  2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  3. Go to the Profile tab (icon in the top-right corner of the home screen).
  4. Select Account → scroll down → Delete account.
  5. Confirm your decision in the dialog. The account will be marked for deletion — the full procedure completes within 30 days.
💡 During the 30-day period after initiating deletion, you can still sign in and reverse your decision. After this time, deletion is irreversible.

Method 2 — Delete via email contact

If you cannot access the app (lost password, no device, blocked account), email us from the address associated with your account: kontakt@splitflow.link. In the email, include the account email address and a brief confirmation: "I request deletion of my SplitFlow account and all associated data." We respond within 7 business days. After identity verification, the account will be deleted within the standard 30-day window.

What data will be deleted

After the procedure completes (30 days), we permanently delete: your profile data (name, email address, optional profile picture, phone number), history of all expenses you added, receipt photos (OCR scans), location data linked to your expenses, push tokens and notification preferences, in-app purchase history (SplitFlow Pro, Event Passes).

Note: active subscriptions must be cancelled separately in the App Store / Google Play — account deletion does not stop automatic renewal at the store.

What data may be retained (and why)

Data in events with other participants: your entries in an event (e.g. "you paid 200 zł for dinner") are needed by other participants to settle up — they remain in anonymised form (your name replaced with "Deleted user", without email, phone or other identifying data).

Financial transaction logs: under Polish accounting law, we must retain IAP purchase data for 5 years (tax obligation) — this is limited to: transaction amount, date, product ID, without link to your name/email.

Anonymised statistics: aggregated metrics of app operation (e.g. "how many users used OCR in a given month") remain, but without the ability to link them to your account.

Cancelling an active subscription

iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → SplitFlow → Cancel.
Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SplitFlow → Cancel.

Cancelling before the subscription expires means Pro remains active until the end of the paid period, then expires.
